CR Coffee Shop runs this website. This page explains what information we collect when you visit, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. It covers crcoffeenola.com and our two free games at game.crcoffeenola.com and dailygrind.crcoffeenola.com.
The short version
- We do not sell your information.
- We collect your email only if you join our list or write to us through the contact form, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- We use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to see how the site gets used and whether our ads work. You can block them and the site works fine.
- Ordering and payment happen on Square's secure sites, not ours.
- Email us anytime and we will show you, correct, or delete what we have about you.
What you give us
Mailing list. When you sign up in the footer, your email address goes through our form service (CoreRail forms, which runs on Cloudflare) into our customer directory at Square, the company that runs our point of sale and sends our emails, with a note of the date and page you signed up on. If Square cannot be reached, the form emails the address to us (by Resend) so we can add it by hand. We use it for news about roasts, drinks, and events. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works right away.
Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message as an email, the same way as if you had emailed us directly. We keep it in our inbox to reply to you and for our records. We do not add you to any list unless you ask.
Leaderboard names. If you post a score in Be Caffeined, we save the name you type. Use any name you like. It does not need to be your real one.
That is the whole list. This site has no accounts. Everything else happens over email or phone.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages get read, what kind of device visitors use, and roughly what city they visit from. It sets cookies that start with _ga. It never shows us your name or your exact location.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising
We advertise on Google. Google sets cookies that start with _gcl to tell us when an ad brought someone to the site, and to let Google show our ads to people who have visited before. You can turn off ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Some links on our gear page are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through one, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon's own privacy policy applies on their site.
Our games
Be Caffeined and The Daily Grind use the same Google Analytics as this site. The Daily Grind also stores a small random ID on your device so your streak and stats survive between visits. The Be Caffeined leaderboard stores the name you typed, your score, your browser type, and a scrambled version of your network address that we use only to block spam entries. None of it identifies you unless you type your real name.
Ordering and delivery
Online orders, gift cards, and our rewards program run on Square's websites under Square's privacy policy. Delivery runs on DoorDash and Uber Eats under their policies. Our location pages embed Google Maps, which loads from Google.
Who we share with
A few companies help us run things, and your information passes through them: Square for the mailing list, ordering, and payments; Google for analytics and advertising; Cloudflare for website hosting and the game leaderboards. Each handles it under its own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Your choices
- Email us and we will tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. That usually means a mailing list entry or a leaderboard name. We answer within 30 days.
- Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Some browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Our site does not change what it collects when it sees them, because we only collect what this page describes. Use the cookie controls above to block analytics and ad cookies.
Kids
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
